As an NMS Graphical User Interface (GUI) expert, this candidate will be a key contributor in developing industry leading Network Management software for a carrier grade networking product. He/She shall be a self-driven worker who can be counted on delivering quality software as well as documentation throughout the software life cycle. He/She shall have extensive experience on design and implementation of web-based or client GUI. He/She will be fully responsible for designing and building a GUI solution for a next generation network product from scratch.

-Write Java/XML/HTML code/scripts to present the network management user interface of a carrier grade next generation networking product.
-Potentially work on the user interface from both EMS/NMS, as well as the embedded Network Element side.
-Work with marketing group to design user interface to ensure the highest usability and attractiveness of the NMS GUI solution of the product.
-Work with the NMS software architect to continuously improve the code to deliver high performance and robust user interface.
-Provide early stage requirement analysis and development estimation to assist planning and release management

-Minimum 5 years of developing Java Swing based GUI application and framework.
-Hands on experience working on the design and development of a Web-based application using XML/HTML, JSP/Servlet, AJAX,
Javascript and web service.
-Must be very fluent with Java programming, 2+ years of experience in some or all of the following: RMI, EJB or CORBA.
Experience with graphing and charting packages such as ILOG and JFreeChart.
-Excellent ability to translate marketing requirements or feature specification into a customer use case and GUI representation.
-Experience with adapting OOAD, UML and design patterns in assisting software design

BS and/or MS on CS and/or EE

- Provide mechanical design services for printed circuit boards with Optical and Electronic elements
- Provide 3D solid modeling for optimal component placement, plus clearance and stack-up analysis
- Participation in all aspects of the development effort with Mechanical area expertise
- Provide sheet metal and plastic fabricated parts designs and cabling interconnection management
- Provide rack and panel design needs as well as testing and verification of designs for EMI/RFI/Safety.

- Design and/or improve plug-in card designs in an All-Optical Switching platform, an optical networking product for Tier 1 carriers in a multi-node DWDM network solution.
- Take active role in the development team to enable optical technologies providing optimal cable and fiber routing mechanisms and efficient/inventive heat management techniques
- Provide thermal analysis on module and system levels to meet NEBS and ETSI requirements
- Propose concepts and improvements based on product/customer/ market needs.

- Demonstrate experience and a strong understanding of shelf designs and sheet metal enclosures
- Experience and familiarity with high volume injection molding
- Experience in thermal analysis, heat transfer systems for sheet metal enclosures and line cards, experience in CFD and/or cosmos flow work, experience with soft-tooled and hard tooled sheet metal part design, welding, molded and fabricated plastic parts, PCB mechanical layouts, and cable drawings
- Experience in dealing with the ECAD to MCAD process in both directions
- Experience with a 3D solid modeling software packages, Pro Engineer (Wildfire 3.0) is preferred
- Experience with product database management software, document control, bill of materials development, engineering change orders, and full support of products through to end of life.
- Provide expertise on Telcordia, ITU-T, IEC (ETSI and NEBS) recommendations and standards relevant to system qualification and compliance testing.

- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering is required
- 5 or more years experience in sheet metal enclosures and system designs
- Experience with optical components in system designs with fiber routing and cable management
- Experience with multiple technologies for sheet metal enclosures and thermal control/analysis
